The Nature Conservancy is a leading international, nonprofit organization whose goal is to preserve animals, plants and natural communities representing the biodiversity of life by protecting the habitats and environments that they require to survive. The Conservancy has over a million members and they have been responsible for the protection of more than fifteen million acres in the US as well as over 102 million acres in the Caribbean, Latin America, Asia and the Pacific.
