Field Reserve - Forest and Bird

Field Reserve is a small,  4 hectare reserve managed by Forest and Bird.

Location: Field Reserve is located on SH1 opposite and immediately north of the Kapiti Island Lookout, 1.6km north-east of Paraparaumu, 3km south-west from Waikanae.

Highlights: Common bird species found in the reserve include tui, grey warbler, silvereye, NZ pigeon, North Island fantail and morepork. The three-hectare reserve contains mahoe, nikau, totara, kahikatea, rata, miro and matai.
