UK wildlife photography competition 2011 - Bird finalists

The coincidental theme of 'feeding' and 'feeding behaviour ' came through very strongly in the birds category - With waxwings eating (and juggling) berries, a Slavonian grebe with prey, Kingfisher with an elver, a Marsh harrier in flight carrying an unfortunate chick, a puffin with Sand eels, and a barn owl with prey being mobbed by a Red kite all making the final - This was the hardest category to choose from, and to pick the winner.
