Brown Bears - Wildlife Monographs

The latest in the Wildlife Monograph series, this image driven book covers all the various species and subspecies of Brown bears from around the world. Russia holds some 60% of the world's population, but they are surprisingly widespread in the northern hemisphere, with more than 10,000 bears estimated to live in Europe. There are lots of images, though most seem to have been taken in Alaska or Canada. There are sections on their habits, reproduction, distribution, behaviour and conservation status, as well as tips on where to see bears (mostly Alaska, but also Finland and Russia.)
