Know Your Rodent is a sweet, small, hard-backed book that describes 23 different rodents from around the world. It contains humerous descriptions and illustrations of each rodent, and is aimed at the children's market (Evidenced by phrases such as "We think rodents are cool" and "Chipmunks are Omnivorous, which means they eat both plants and animals".).
"Agoutis live in monogamous pairs" & "These rodents mostly eat animal protein" however betray the fact that the book falls slightly into the patronizing children's book written by adults category.
However the book is fun, informative and beautifully produced, and will suit any youngsters who are fascinated by rodents, or perhaps like to keep gerbils, mice or beavers.
