Herefordshire Nature Trust
Despite the good work done by the Herefordshire Nature Trust since its formation, the wildlife of Herefordshire is still being lost at an alarming rate. Hedgerows are being ripped out, rivers polluted, meadows ploughed and woodlands neglected.
Since 1945 over 90% of Herefordshire's old species rich meadows have been destroyed and many native species, such as the marsh fritillary, water rail and corncrake, have disappeared. The Herefordshire Nature Trust aims to stop these losses and make Herefordshire a better place for wildlife and for people.
